Meet Freckles, the Awake & Asleep doll.  Freckles is simple to make and she has two faces, two caps, two-skirts - all on 1 body.  The dolls are joined at the waist.  Turn one doll over and she is awake, turn it over again and she goes to sleep. Vintage mail order pattern to make a pair of Black Americana dolls ~ Boy & Girl. This pattern includes both the dolls and their clothes: Shirt and Overalls for him; and Dress, Apron, Bandana and Neckerchief for her. The dolls measure about 17" tall when complete and the legs, arms, head and torso are all part of one pattern piece.

14.5" Pattern for Raggedy Ann and Andy with Embroidery Designs for Face.  These two little story book redheads, so beloved, are perfect replicas of the well-known characters.  To make them, to stuff them, and then to dress them in their little outfits will be so much fun.  The body and face are cut in one,  an appllique patch makes the nose, buttons are used for the eyes and the mouth, and the eyebrows are embroidered.  The hair is made of yarn.  Dolls about 19 inches tall.

Vintage 1958 pattern for Raggey Ann and Andy dolls.  The body and face are cut in one,  an appllique patch makes the nose, buttons are used for the eyes and the mouth, and the eyebrows are embroidered.  The hair is made of yarn.  Dolls about 19 inches tall. Janie and Johnny, with bright blue eyes and blond yarn wigs have come to join the ranks of stuffed doll playmates.  Dressed in twin sailor suit, or in their snappy play suits, they are the cutest rags dolls ever!  To make these fascinating twins, you cut the back and front of their bodies exactly alike -- arms, legs, body and head are all in one piece, and you can stitch them in one continuous seam.  Face is to be embroidered. Even the small shoes and socks can be made from the pattern.  The garmets require only small pieces of left-over scraps.  The dolls are only 11-1/2" high.  Don't miss making these!
